Instructor
Adrian Marrero
From Cuba, Adrian Marrero began his career as a dancer at the National Ballet School in Havana-Cuba. Upon graduation, he started his professional career with the Cuban National Ballet under the artistic guidance of Alicia Alonso.
He joined Ballet de Monterrey in Mexico in 2002, where he made a successful career as a Principal Dancer performing in many of the company’s repertoire for over 13 years.
In 2009, he was promoted to Principal Dancer. His repertoire includes the leading roles of the romantic-classical tradition, among them: “Paquita,” “Raymonda,” “Le Corsaire,” “Don Quijote,” “La Bayadere,” “Swan Lake,” “Gisselle,” “The Nutcracker,” among others, as well as works by several renowned creators’ contemporary choreographies.
He had taught for 15 years in several dance studios in Mexico and Florida, EU.
He is an experienced ballet professor who has instructed dance students in proper ballet techniques coaching them to participate in prestigious dance competitions. He had the opportunity to teach classes at the Annual International Ballet Competition and Summer Intensive for ballet students at the Cuban National School of Ballet as well.
Upon retiring as a professional dancer, and in addition to his dancing teaching career, Adrian found photography to remain linked to dance and studied professional photography.
In 2018 he founded Artistic Pixels. With his company, he works with several schools and professional companies in the US, Mexico, and Germany, creating visual work that helps these institutions remain visible in the dance market.
